Stride
An internship tracker for college students.
Product: College students manage dozens of internship applications across spreadsheets, email, and job boards. Deadlines and follow-ups are easy to lose when every update lives somewhere different. Stride gives them one place to track applications, deadlines, interviews, and offers. I first built it for my kids; word of mouth showed that the same problem reached far beyond our family.
A brand about forward motion
The mark turns progress into a simple story. The lighter dot shows where a student is now; the solid dot shows the next step. The dashed line connects them, making the internship search feel like forward motion instead of a pass-or-fail moment.
An icon that works anywhere
I designed four versions for different backgrounds: coral, dark charcoal, warm cream, and a coral gradient. The connected dots keep the icon recognizable across every version.
The brand inside the product
Warm cream and coral make the light appearance feel encouraging, while deep charcoal reduces glare in the dark appearance. Coral continues to mark actions and progress in both, so the product remains familiar when the background changes.

Students can filter applications while seeing each deadline, stage, and priority in one place. The list helps them decide what needs attention next before an opportunity closes.

The board groups applications by stage—from Researching and Applied through later steps—so students can see what is moving, what is stalled, and where to focus next.
